Representatives of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labour also informed about the labor dispute situation leading to collective work stoppages.
Before and during the Binh Ngo Lunar New Year 2026 (data calculated in January and early February 2026), the whole country experienced 8 collective work stoppages, a decrease of 1 compared to the same period last year.
The main reasons are that workers propose salary increases, request salary payments; propose reducing overtime hours, increasing allowances... reflecting the unreasonable attitude of management.
Immediately after the incident occurred, trade union levels promptly coordinated with functional agencies to support the parties in dialogue and negotiation to find solutions. Through the process of dialogue and negotiation between employers and the collective of employees with the support, guidance, and witness of functional agencies, most of the employees' requests have been fully or partially resolved by the employer, and the collective of employees has returned to normal work.
