In recent years, the emulation movement "Good working parents - Good children" has become one of the typical emulation contents, rich in humanity, with strong influence in trade unions at all levels, agencies, enterprises, schools and the social community.
The movement is implemented with the goal of building a prosperous, progressive, happy, and civilized family, while promoting the role of each family in the education of the younger generation, creating a connection between production labor and the comprehensive development of children of union members and workers.
In the school year 2024 - 2025, Vietnam Coal and Mineral Group allowed the scholarship of the school year for 496 grandchildren from elementary to college to the children of officials and workers who sacrificed for the cause of coal production and labor accidents decreased from 81% or more, the scholarship allowance is from 2.5 million VND/year to 8 million VND/year/child, the total amount is VND 2.077 million. Regular benefits for 103 cases of relatives affected by Agent Orange, the amount of VND 618 million; Every year, the budget is from 2 to 2.2 billion to reward and encourage the children to achieve high achievements and overcome difficulties in learning.
Vietnam Coal and Mineral Union directed trade unions at all levels to review the number of children and workers in special circumstances, difficulties, orphans, disabilities, autism and serious illnesses to organize visits on holidays and New Year. In the past year, nearly 2,300 children (100%) were visited with a budget of 1 million VND/grandchild; Visiting and giving regular gifts to 27 schools/kindergartens and kindergartens associated with the units, gathering a lot of children and employees of the mineral coal industry on the occasion of action month for children, children's Tet, Mid -Autumn Festival.
On August 15, the Vietnam Coal and Mineral Trade Union honored 130 outstanding father - child, mother - child couples in the movement "Good worker parents, good caregiver, good students".
Speaking at the commendation ceremony, Mr. Tran Hai Binh highly appreciated the coordination between the Trade Union and the Women's Committee for the Group's progress in effectively organizing activities, and expressed his hope that families will continue to be commended as the core of the movement to continue to have more families in the Group with good achievements.
