Vietnam Railway Trade Union honors 80 union officials and members
The Vietnam Railway Trade Union has just celebrated the 80th anniversary of its founding (February 25, 1946 - February 25, 2026).
The ceremony was held on December 29, in Hanoi. At the ceremony, the Vietnam Railway Trade Union also organized a ceremony to honor outstanding union officials and members in the period of 2021-2025.

At the ceremony, Mr. Mai Thanh Phuong, Chairman of the Vietnam Railway Trade Union, emphasized that with the theme "Bringing confidence - piling up", the celebration is a milestone affirming the construction and growth journey of the Vietnam Railway Trade Union associated with the revolutionary cause of the Vietnam Railway Trade Union and the heroic development history of the Vietnam Railway.
According to Mr. Mai Thanh Phuong, on February 25, 1946 in the context of the country's independence, the Vietnam Railway Trade Union was established, marking the formation and important development of the workers' movement and trade union activities in the transportation industry.
During the nation's long-term resistance wars, cadres, union members, and workers in the railway industry "Living on bridges, sticking to the road - dying resiliently and bravely" on each route and each station, ensuring smooth traffic, contributing significantly to the overall victory of the country.
In the period of peace, economic recovery and development, the Vietnam Railway Trade Union continues to affirm its core role in the patriotic emulation movement, creative labor contributing to the construction and development of the railway industry.
Entering the period of innovation and international integration, facing many difficulties and challenges of the market economy, restructuring the railway industry and the need to improve operational efficiency, the Vietnam Railway Trade Union has proactively innovated its organization, content and methods of operation; always accompanying experts in the process of building and developing the Vietnam Railway. At the same time, care for improving the material and spiritual life, working and living conditions of workers; contributing to strengthening workers' trust in the trade union organization and the leadership of the Party.
