In case the Village Team Leader is entitled to allowances for concurrent positions
The village team leader is entitled to allowances for concurrent positions according to the provisions of the 2019 Law on Militia and Self-Defense Forces.
Article 33 of the 2019 Law on Militia and Self-Defense Forces stipulates:
Allowances, social insurance, health insurance for militia and self-defense command positions
1. The positions of militia and self-defense commanders specified in Article 19 of this Law are entitled to position allowances.
2. Deputy Commander of the Commune-level Military Command is entitled to monthly allowances and compulsory social insurance according to the provisions of the Law on Social Insurance and Health Insurance according to the provisions of the Law on Health Insurance; if he/she has not participated in social insurance and has worked continuously for 60 months or more, when he/she quits his/her job, he/she will receive a one-time subsidy.
3. Deputy Commanders of Commune-level Military Commands, positions of commanders of mobile militia and standing militia units are entitled to special allowances for national defense and military.
4. Commanders, Political Commissars, Deputy Commanders, Deputy Political Commissars of the Commune-level Military Command with a working period of 60 months or more are entitled to seniority allowances.
5. The village team leader is entitled to a monthly allowance, allowances for concurrent positions as Sub-captain or Lieutenant of the on-site militia team leader.
6. The Government shall detail this Article.
Accordingly, the Village Team Leader is entitled to a concurrent allowance for the position of Sub-captain or Lieutenant of the local militia.
According to Decree 16/2025/ND-CP effective from March 23, 2025, the Village Team Leader is entitled to an allowance of VND 280,800/month for the command position allowance and an additional 100% of the allowance for the platoon leader position when concurrently holding the position of on-site militia platoon leader, or 100% of the allowance for the platoon leader position when concurrently holding the position of on-site militia platoon leader. In case the village organizes a militia group on site, it will receive an additional 100% of the position allowance of the squad leader.
