Court accepted the case of workers suing Mai Linh Group for social insurance debt
The People's Court of Region 1 - Khanh Hoa has just accepted the social insurance dispute between employees and Mai Linh Group Joint Stock Company.
On January 11, information from the Khanh Hoa Provincial Federation of Labor (LDLD) said that the unit had just received a notice of acceptance of the social insurance dispute labor case (BHXH) from the People's Court of Khanh Hoa Region 1. Khanh Hoa Provincial Federation of Labor is the representative unit authorized by the workers to file a lawsuit.

Previously, Khanh Hoa Provincial Federation of Labor received authorization from 21 employees to represent Mai Linh Group Joint Stock Company (No. 64 Hai Ba Trung, Saigon Ward, Ho Chi Minh City) for social insurance debt, unpaid wages, deposits and other legal benefits of employees.
According to the case file, the total amount of money the enterprise is said to owe to 21 employees is up to nearly 1.13 billion VND in social insurance and more than 433 million VND in salary, deposit, and commercial vehicle fee, which has lasted for many years. Of which, some workers are owed more than 110 million VND.
Mr. H.T.T (residing in Nam Nha Trang ward) said that Mai Linh Company did not pay social insurance for him from July 1, 2020 to March 1, 2023, with an amount of more than 47.7 million VND, while still deducting social insurance from salary. In addition, he also owed more than 6.5 million VND in deposits.
"I hope the Court will force the company to fully fulfill its obligations to pay social insurance and pay the remaining debts to ensure the rights of employees," said Mr. T.
In the same situation, Mr. H.T.H (residing in Bac Nha Trang ward) reported that he owed social insurance in the same period, with an amount of more than 47.7 million VND. According to Mr. H., the enterprise has not fulfilled its social insurance payment obligations for a long time, directly affecting the social security rights of employees.
According to the announcement, the People's Court of Region 1 - Khanh Hoa has accepted the first-instance labor case on social insurance and deposit disputes. The case was accepted according to normal procedures, along with many documents and evidence such as labor contracts, salary tables, social insurance payment statements, resignation applications, resignation decisions and authorization documents of employees.
According to the Khanh Hoa Provincial Federation of Labor, this is a typical case in the context that many employees at Mai Linh Nha Trang Company Limited continuously reflect on the situation of prolonged unpaid wages and social insurance debts.
Previously, the trade union had discussed many times, and the People's Committee of Khanh Hoa province also issued documents reminding and requesting remedies, but the enterprise was still late in fulfilling its obligations.

According to statistics from Khanh Hoa Social Insurance, Mai Linh Group Joint Stock Company (Nha Trang branch) and Mai Linh Nha Trang Company Limited are two independent legal entities, both operating in the field of passenger transport, but both have a history of long-term social insurance, health insurance and unemployment insurance debts.
As of August 31, 2025, the total debt of Mai Linh branch in Nha Trang is more than 5.1 billion VND, of which more than 2.3 billion VND is owed to social insurance; and Mai Linh Nha Trang Company Limited owes more than 772 million VND, of which more than 711 million VND is owed to social insurance.
The prolonged debt situation has made many workers upset, having to focus on placing banners and slogans demanding that businesses resolve their rights, posing a potential risk of disorder. The Social Insurance Agency has issued a document recommending handling the violation and transferring the file to Khanh Hoa Provincial Police according to its authority.
The case is receiving great attention from the public, demonstrating the determination of the trade union organization in protecting the legitimate and legal rights of workers, and at the same time is a warning for businesses that are slow to fulfill social insurance obligations according to the law.
