8 more General Confederation officials retire early according to Decree 178

On April 28, the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor (VGCL) held a conference to award decisions on retirement and severance pay to 9 officials according to Decree No. 178/2024/ND-CP.

At the ceremony, Ms. Phi Thu Huong - Deputy Head of the Organizing Committee of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor - announced the decision for 8 officials who are allowed to retire early and 1 cadre who quit their jobs according to Decree 178/2024/ND-CP of the Government.

Speaking at the conference, Ms. Thai Thu Xuong - Permanent Vice President, Head of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor - welcomed the volunteer spirit and respectfully thanked the contributions of the 9 officials to the trade union organization after many years of association.

According to the Standing Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, each cadre has a different position but through the working process, they have completed their tasks well, and have been recognized by the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor with forms of commendation.

Ms. Thai Thu Xuong hopes that in the coming time, you will continue to pay attention to following union activities and contribute opinions for the union organization to develop strongly.

Ms. Thai Thu Xuong shared that after retirement, the comrades had the opportunity to rest after a long period of work; at the same time, giving opportunities to some young cadres at the agency.

Previously, the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor held a conference twice to award decisions on pension benefits to 16 comrades on retirement according to Decree 178/2024/ND-CP of the Government.
