Strengthening propaganda about social insurance and health insurance for workers

According to the recent dispatch on continuing to strengthen leadership and direction in implementing social insurance and health insurance policies in the city, the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee assigned the Department of Health to preside over and coordinate with relevant departments and branches to advise on policies and mechanisms to support health insurance contributions to increase health insurance coverage, in line with the national health insurance roadmap.

The Department of Health is responsible for strengthening consultation to help the City People's Committee implement state management of health insurance through management, inspection, and handling of violations; having timely solutions to prevent abuse and profiteering of the health insurance fund.

The Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee also assigned the People's Committees of wards, communes and special zones to strengthen the direction of the implementation of propaganda, dissemination and education on laws on social insurance and health insurance so that cadres, party members, employers, employees and people clearly understand the necessity, role and benefits of social insurance and health insurance policies.

Thereby, creating consensus and unity in organizing implementation, promoting the participation in social insurance and health insurance, contributing to ensuring long-term and sustainable social security.
