A series of large enterprises in Gia Lai are slow to pay insurance, thousands of workers suffer
Gia Lai - 602 units and enterprises are in debt to pay insurance with an amount of more than 140 billion VND, causing thousands of workers to suffer.
On October 16, Gia Lai Social Insurance (BHXH) said that by the end of September 2025, the whole province had 602 employers who were late in paying social insurance, health insurance, unemployment insurance, occupational accident insurance, and occupational disease insurance for 6 months or more.
Most of the units that are late in paying are companies and enterprises, directly affecting the rights of 4,227 employees, with a total debt of more than 140 billion VND.
Among these, many businesses owe large sums of money, lasting for many months, even many years, such as: 47 Construction Joint Stock Company is late in paying more than 10 billion VND with 790 employees, 10 months in debt; FLC Quy Nhon Golf and Resort Joint Stock Company is late in paying more than 28.8 billion VND with 327 employees, 40 months in debt; Bamboo Airways Joint Stock Company is late in paying more than 32 billion VND with 924 employees, 18 months in debt; 504 Joint Stock Company is late in paying more than 14 billion VND with 5 employees, and owes up to 176 months. The remaining units were late in paying with amounts ranging from a few tens of millions of VND to a few billion VND.
The leader of Gia Lai Social Insurance said that in addition to urging and reminding employers who owe insurance, the agency will lock the value of employee health insurance cards at these units and enterprises.
According to the leader of Gia Lai Social Insurance, in the coming time, the agency will coordinate with the Provincial Police and the Tax Department to work with enterprises that owe social insurance, requiring these units to commit to fulfilling their social insurance payment obligations. In case of non-compliance, the competent authority will take the steps to handle the case according to the provisions of the Penal Code.
Regarding enterprises that owe large sums of money, the leader of the provincial Social Insurance said that Construction Joint Stock Company 47 has committed to settling the debt by the end of 2025; FLC Quy Nhon Golf and Resort Joint Stock Company has paid but the amount is still small; Bamboo Aviation Joint Stock Company is currently in the process of restructuring, so it is temporarily still calculating interest...
"We are planning a work plan, requiring units with outstanding insurance debts to quickly recover, in order to ensure the legitimate rights of employees," informed the leader of Gia Lai Social Insurance.
