Early retirement policy for Commune Party Committee Secretaries from 1.6.2025
The Ministry of Home Affairs has responded to the policy to the Secretary of the Commune Party Committee for early retirement from June 1, 2025.
Mr. Le Minh (character's name has been changed) is currently the Secretary of the Commune Party Committee. Mr. Minh submitted an application for early retirement from June 1, 2025. According to the Law on Social Insurance, he has 20 months left until retirement age.
"So am I entitled to the support policy under Decree 178/2024 (amended and supplemented by Decree 67/20225)?" - Mr. Minh asked.
Regarding Mr. Minh's reflection and recommendation, the Ministry of Home Affairs responded on the Electronic Information Portal.
According to the Ministry of Home Affairs, based on Article 2 and 7, Decree No. 178/2024 (amended and supplemented in Decree No. 67/2025), officials who are not old enough to re -election, re -appointment, with less than 2 years to retirement age prescribed in Appendix I issued together with Decree No. 135/2020 of the Government prescribed the retirement age and have enough time to pay for the regulation of the law on the law of the law to pay for the regulation Social danger, the subjects may apply the regime and policies specified in Decree No. 178/2024 (amended and supplemented in Decree No. 67/2025).
Therefore, the case of Mr. Minh, currently the Secretary of the Commune Party Committee, the time to retire according to the Social Insurance Law is 20 months, if the desire to retire before the age to create conditions for arranging the personnel of the Party Committee at the Party Congress at all levels to the National Party Congress XIV of the 14th Party and agreed by the competent authority;
Pursuant to the provisions of Point d, Clause 2, Article 7 of Decree No. 178/2024, Clause 8, Article 1 of Decree No. 67/2025, he is entitled to pension benefits according to the provisions of the law on social insurance and will not have his pension rate deducted due to early retirement.
In addition, he is entitled to a one-time pension for the period of early retirement compared to the retirement date specified in Appendix I issued with Decree No. 135/2020/ND-CP (equal to 20 months of current salary).
