Warning about impersonating social insurance agencies in Khanh Hoa to scam personal information updates
Khanh Hoa Social Insurance has issued a warning about the situation of some subjects impersonating social insurance agencies to defraud people.
On October 8, Khanh Hoa Social Insurance (BHXH) issued a document warning about the situation of some subjects impersonating social insurance agencies to defraud people of providing personal information.
According to the provincial Social Insurance, recently there has been a situation where subjects impersonating social insurance agencies have asked people to provide and update their citizen identification cards, email addresses... to the VssID application - Digital Social Insurance via fake links, with the reason of "false information".
The subjects even became friends with Zalo to guide them to "adjust information" or asked people to go to the provincial Social Insurance agency, the grassroots Social Insurance to "updated their documents".
Khanh Hoa Social Insurance affirmed that this agency has no policy of calling, texting or asking people to update personal information on the VssID application - Digital Social Insurance through any form.
All such requests are fake and show signs of fraud.
The Social Insurance Agency recommends that people, organizations and individuals should be vigilant, do not access strange links, do not provide personal information, OTP code or social insurance account to anyone.
When needing support, people should contact the local social insurance agency directly or through official channels for guidance.
