Billion-VND initiatives of engineers who won the Ton Duc Thang Award
Ho Chi Minh City - Initiatives of typical engineers and workers awarded the Ton Duc Thang Prize help save and benefit businesses tens of billions of VND each year.
The Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee has just coordinated with the Ho Chi Minh City Labor Federation to award the Ton Duc Thang Award to 11 typical engineers and workers with many initiatives, technical improvements, and many practical scientific research topics, applied to the production and business process.
The common point of these typical engineers and workers is that their initiatives and technical improvements have helped save and benefit businesses tens of billions of VND each year.
At Samsung HCMC CE Complex Electronics Co., Ltd. (SEHC), Mr. Nguyen Tang Phap (born in 1992) - Head of Production Quality Improvement Department - is a typical personnel with many valuable technical initiatives, recognized by businesses and effectively applied to production.
One of Mr. Phap's outstanding initiatives is the design of a system to prevent material errors for the LCM (TV screen panel) line, which has saved the company an average of about 50,000 USD/year. Or like the smart software control system solution of Mainboard TV (PBA Main SW) to prevent incidents from occurring during production, helping the company save about 100,000 USD/year.
In general, Mr. Phap's initiatives and technical improvements from 2022 to February 2025, brought the company a profit of about 432,456 USD, equivalent to nearly 17 billion VND.
Similarly, 9 initiatives of Mr. Nguyen Van Dung - Head of Equipment Engineering Team - Intel Products Vietnam Co., Ltd. (Ho Chi Minh City High-Tech Park) brought benefits of more than 26.5 billion VND to businesses.
And the initiative of a voltage transfer circuit for relays to choose the closing/cutting time of the 500kV power line cross-substation at the 500kV Song May substation by engineer Nguyen Van Tan - Power Transmission Company 4, National Power Transmission Corporation - benefited the business by 6.2 billion VND. With Mr. Tan's 21 initiatives and technical improvements, the business has benefited more than 15 billion VND/year.
According to Mr. Bui Thanh Nhan - Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City Labor Federation - many individuals after being honored with the Ton Duc Thang Award have continued to develop, becoming the core force in emulation movements at the unit. They not only create for themselves but also pass on experience, mentor the younger generation of workers, and form groups and groups to improve in businesses and agencies.
Many workers have received more attention from businesses, agencies, and units; they have been given conditions to continue researching and perfecting initiatives, and at the same time are arranged and assigned to job positions suitable to their professional capacity to better promote the effectiveness of contributions.
