Lang Son - The Provincial People's Committee has just issued a new document on the conditions for purchasing social housing for cadres, civil servants and workers in the area.

On August 11, according to Lao Dong's source, the People's Committee of Lang Son province has just issued a Decision regulating cases where people with houses under their ownership but far from their workplace are entitled to social housing support policies.

Accordingly, people with a house of their own but the distance from the place of residence to the workplace (including the head office, branch or representative office of an agency, organization, enterprise, or regular workplace) of 20 km or more is still eligible to buy or rent social housing.

The decision applies to the groups of subjects buying and renting social housing mentioned in Article 76 of the Housing Law, including: cadres, civil servants, public employees, workers, officers, non-commissioned officers, defense workers, police... who have not enjoyed housing policies for the armed forces; together with agencies, organizations, investors of social housing projects and related individuals.

The People's Committees of communes and wards where workers work will be responsible for confirming the distance from their home to the workplace. The investor of a social housing project receiving the application must comply with the regulations on conditions and procedures.

The Department of Construction is assigned to preside over and coordinate with relevant departments and branches to guide, inspect and supervise the implementation of this policy.

The decision will take effect from August 20, 2025.
