Phu Tho workers look forward to settling down from social housing
Phu Tho - Over the past time, the number of workers coming to industrial parks has increased, leading to an increasing demand for housing, especially social housing.
More than 4,000 hopes in 2026
According to the Phu Tho Provincial Department of Construction, in 2026, the locality is expected to complete about 4,244 social housing units. This figure brings great expectations for thousands of workers working in industrial parks.

Mr. Ngo Van Lieu, from Tuyen Quang, currently working at Kim Hoa industrial park, Phuc Yen ward, said that he has been attached to the job for more than 10 years.
His income ranges from 10 - 13 million VND per month. After deducting living expenses, he only saves about 40 million VND per year. If adding his wife's income, the total savings of the couple are about 70 million VND per year.
With this accumulation level, buying a landed house is almost beyond their ability. At the beginning of 2026, the couple researched a social housing project in Hung Vuong - Tien Chau Urban Area, Phuc Yen ward.
The project has four types of apartments, with areas from 36m2 to 66m2, prices ranging from 14 to 18 million VND/m2, which are considered suitable for the financial capacity of many workers.
However, due to the large number of registered people, the couple has not been able to submit a house purchase application. However, Mr. Lieu still maintains an optimistic mentality when saying that from now until the end of the year, there will be more projects open for sale, opening up opportunities to own a house.
Sharing the same wish, Ms. Tran Thi Loan, currently renting a room in Phuc Yen, said that she works as an accountant at a company in Kim Hoa industrial park, nearly 30 km from home. Having just started a family, she and her husband really hope to find a suitable social housing to stabilize their lives.
According to Ms. Loan, there are currently a number of social housing projects about to open for sale and her family has prepared finances. However, the appearance of a lot of brokerage information online makes her wonder.
Promoting social housing
According to Decision No. 444/QD-TTg of the Prime Minister and Resolution No. 07/NQ-CP, in the period 2025 - 2030, Phu Tho province is assigned to complete 62,853 social housing units.
To achieve this goal, the Provincial People's Committee has strengthened direction and issued many documents to remove difficulties and create favorable conditions for investors to implement projects.
To date, the whole province has 22 social housing projects with a total of 17,244 apartments. Of which, 5 projects have been completed with 2,107 apartments, and 17 projects are being implemented with 2,353 apartments. In 2026 alone, it is expected that an additional 4,244 apartments will be completed.
In the period 2026 - 2030, the province is expected to implement about 80 projects, providing 61,276 apartments.
Faced with high demand and gradually expanding supply, Phu Tho Department of Construction recommends that people be cautious when accessing house purchase information. Investors only receive applications at officially announced locations. People in need must directly submit applications, sign receipts and register apartment areas.
Functional agencies strictly prohibit all acts of taking advantage of social housing policies to collect money and receive illegal deposits. People are also advised not to carry out illegal transfers and not to submit dossiers at locations not announced on the website of the Department of Construction.
