Proposals to amend and supplement the 13th Congress of the Vietnam Trade Union Charter

On the afternoon of February 26, the Thanh Hoa Provincial Federation of Labor (LDLD) held a conference to contribute comments on the draft Charter, Guidelines for the implementation of the Charter of the Vietnam Trade Union, 13th tenure and regulations on the organization and operation of grassroots trade unions.

Attending the Conference were Mr. Nguyen Duy Vu - Deputy Head of the Organizing Committee of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor; Mr. Nguyen Minh Canh - Vice Chairman of Labor Federation of Thanh Hoa province; representatives of committees under the provincial Labor Federation; Labor Federation of districts, towns, cities and grassroots union in the area.

At the conference, the delegates focused on researching and contributing many ideas to amend and supplement the draft Charter and guide the implementation of the XIII Vietnam Trade Union Charter in accordance with the provisions of the Law on Affairs in 2024, as well as the arrangement and streamlining the organizational structure in the spirit of Resolution No. 18 of the Party Central Committee.

In particular, the contents related to the subject of joining the Vietnamese Trade Union; the rights of union members; conditions for establishing grassroots trade unions; specifying the functions and duties of the higher level trade union directly at the grassroots level such as the Trade Union of the Party Agency, the provincial government block ... are lively discussed by delegates.

Delegates also commented on a number of contents regulating the organization and operation of grassroots trade unions such as: functions, tasks, and powers of grassroots trade unions; trade union financial revenue; support for allowances for grassroots trade union cadres; support for operating expenses of grassroots trade unions...

In the spirit of openness, frankness, and responsibility, the opinions of the delegates were listened to and acknowledged by representatives of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor.

Along with that, the Thanh Hoa Provincial Federation of Labor will synthesize the opinions of the delegates, send them to the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor for consideration and completion to soon issue documents and implement.
