Commending outstanding collectives and individuals in the education sector for the 2020-2025 period
On September 24, the Vietnam Education Trade Union held a Conference to honor collectives and individuals who have achieved typical advanced titles in the period of 2020 - 2025.
Permanent Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor Thai Thu Xuong attended the conference.
Reporting at the conference, Dr. Nguyen Ngoc An - Chairman of the Vietnam Education Trade Union (VTC) - said that in the past 5 years, emulation movements and campaigns in the education sector have created the image, brand, created sustainable development of each agency and unit; created the quality of human resources and created opportunities for workers to contribute, affirm personal values, improve the quality of labor as well as the quality of life.
"Over the past 5 years, thanks to emulation, harmonious and stable labor relations have been maintained, inspiration and motivation for work have been enhanced, and difficulties have been overcome...", said Mr. Nguyen Ngoc An.
Speaking at the conference, MSc. Duong Thi Tuyen - Chairwoman of the Can Tho University Trade Union - said that the school currently has more than 1,900 officials, employees and more than 44,000 students and trainees. Can Tho University Trade Union has 39 affiliated department trade unions with multiple sectors, multiple fields...
In recent times, the school has organized emulation movements and typical campaigns such as "Patriot emulation movement, welcoming the 12th Congress of the Vietnam Trade Union, celebrating the 70th anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh's appeal for patriotic emulation among civil servants and employees of Can Tho University"; "Each teacher is an example of ethics, self-study and creativity", held once every 2 years and held continuously from 2018 to present... contributing to creating a useful playground and spreading humanistic values throughout the school.
Mr. Vu Duc Thai - Chairman of the Trade Union of Thai Nguyen University of Information and Communications Technology - shared that awareness of digital technology helps lecturers and scientists easily access international scientific databases, specialized magazines, open learning materials... in recent times, the school's trade union has actively contributed to the development of digital capacity for lecturers and scientists. Thereby, promoting the self-study process for lecturers, building a culture of lifelong learning among the teaching staff. Speaking at the conference, Permanent Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor Thai Thu Xuong praised the achievements of the education sector and 19 collectives and 63 typical advanced individuals in the 2020-2025 period.
Ms. Thai Thu Xuong affirmed that the emulation movement "Good workers, Creative workers", "Scientific research and technology transfer" has created motivation, contributing to the creation of 123,000 technical innovation initiatives, solutions to innovate teaching methods, apply technology, digital transformation... applied in practice, bringing clear results.
To make the emulation movement in the new period more effective, Permanent Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor Thai Thu Xuong suggested 4 emulation orientations.
Affirming that emulation movements are a key task, associated with the goals of the education sector in the new context.
Strengthen the leadership of the Party Committee, mobilize the consensus strength of the management leadership team.
Innovation of content and methods of organizing the movement, associated with key tasks.
Discover - honor - replicate advanced models, spreading the noble image of teachers.
At the conference, the Vietnam Education Trade Union launched a patriotic emulation movement for the period 2025 - 2030 with the theme: "Emulation to innovate and create to improve the quality and efficiency of management, teaching, learning and work associated with digital transformation, contributing to building a team of employees and union officials at all levels to meet the requirements in the new situation".
