Patriotic emulation in the construction industry, breaking through 2,500 km of highways, promoting the construction of social housing
On October 24, the Ministry of Construction held the 1st Patriotic Emulation Congress (2025-2030), with the participation of many advanced models in the whole industry.
Over the past 5 years, the patriotic emulation movement has become an important driving force to promote the construction industry to create breakthroughs in many key areas. Nearly 2,500 km of expressway has been put into operation in the 2021-2025 period and is accelerating to reach over 3,000 km by the end of 2025.
Along with that, the 1 million social housing program by 2030 has been strongly implemented, contributing to solving the housing needs of urban residents and industrial park workers.
The digital transformation activities of the Construction sector are also being comprehensively promoted, focusing on building a specialized data system, operating an Information System for handling administrative procedures to serve people and businesses, towards a modern and effective governance.
At the congress, Minister of Construction Tran Hong Minh emphasized the spirit throughout the emulation movements in the recent period: "Through the achieved results, it can be affirmed that the patriotic emulation movement is truly a driving force, a great spiritual resource, an effective State management tool, contributing significantly to the overall achievements of the Ministry of Construction in the cause of national construction and development".
In the 2025-2030 period, the construction industry faces new requirements and tasks, especially in developing synchronous - modern infrastructure, building a green, smart city and ensuring traffic safety.
According to the minister, "Entering the period of 2025 - 2030, the Ministry of Construction is facing many new development opportunities, but also facing many difficulties and challenges, especially high requirements for institutional improvement, synchronous infrastructure development, building smart, sustainable urban areas and ensuring traffic safety. To promote the results achieved in the past 5 years, all cadres, civil servants, public employees and workers of the Ministry of Construction continue to uphold the spirit of responsibility, solidarity and creativity; strongly respond to emulation movements" - the Minister of Construction emphasized.
The Ministry of Construction has launched a new emulation movement with the theme "Solidarity - Democracy - Discipline - Breakthrough - Development", to promote the strength of solidarity and the spirit of innovation. The goal is to continue to maintain the role of a core force in infrastructure development, ensuring housing security, promoting digital transformation and administrative reform.
The Congress is an opportunity to commend and honor many collectives and individuals with outstanding achievements in the emulation movements 2021-2025; at the same time, strongly spreading the spirit of patriotic emulation to a large number of cadres, civil servants, public employees and workers in the entire construction industry.
