Strong and comprehensive innovation to help the Good Workers' movement adapt to the new era
Dong Thap - Permanent Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor Thai Thu Xuong requested strong and comprehensive innovation so that the Good Workers' movement can adapt to the new era.
On May 27, attending the Conference to summarize 5 years of implementing the Good Labor and Creative Labor movement, period 2020-2025 organized by the Dong Thap Provincial Federation of Labor, Permanent Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor Thai Thu Xuong said that the Provincial Federation of Labor has known how to promote the revolutionary tradition, diligently, dynamically and creatively of the land to launch a widespread patriotic emulation movement among union members, workers and laborers.
After 5 years of implementation, union members and workers have registered to implement 764 projects, models, and practical jobs; 35,627 topics and initiatives have brought practical economic efficiency, earning tens of billions of VND. Thereby, hundreds of outstanding collectives and individuals have appeared that have been commended at all levels. Many initiatives have been selected and proposed to be awarded the Creative Labor Certificate by the General Confederation. That clearly demonstrates the effectiveness and strong spread of the movement in practice.
Appreciating this achievement, on behalf of the Standing Committee of the Presidium of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, Ms. Thai Thu Xuong warmly praised and said that this is a vivid testament to the sense of responsibility, enthusiasm, creativity and attachment of workers to the Trade Union organization and to the development of the province.
The country is entering a new stage of development and striving to implement strategic goals on industrialization, modernization, extensive international integration, digital transformation and sustainable development. That puts for the Trade Union organization and workers new increasingly heavy requirements and tasks, requiring strong innovation in thinking, working methods, and methods of organizing emulation movements to suit the reality, context, and development needs of each field, each locality, and unit - Ms. Xuong emphasized.
Accordingly, Ms. Xuong requested that all levels of Dong Thap Provincial Trade Unions focus on implementing 4 groups of solutions.
First, continue to innovate the method of organizing the movement "Good workers - Creative workers", ensuring practicality, suitability to the production and working conditions of each industry and each field. Link the emulation movement with key programs such as "Digital transformation among workers, civil servants, and laborers", "Workers' Month", "Green - clean - beautiful, ensuring occupational safety and hygiene", "participating in technical innovation, rationalizing production"... At the same time, promote the discovery, fostering, honoring and replication of typical advanced models, typical initiatives and solutions in the whole province.
In particular, Trade Unions at all levels need to proactively advise Party committees and authorities and coordinate with businesses to build incentive mechanisms, support workers to promote initiatives and improve techniques, thereby creating development momentum for businesses and localities.
Second, continue to improve the quality of activities of the team of union officials, especially grassroots union officials - those who directly organize, mobilize and spread the movement. It is necessary to train, foster skills, equip knowledge, especially in science and technology, digital transformation, so that union officials can keep up with the requirements of the new era.
Third, strengthen communication work, commend good people and good deeds; disseminate good models and effective methods; create a widespread influence among workers, civil servants, laborers and the whole society about the meaning and value of the "Good workers - Creative workers" movement.
Fourth, closely coordinate with departments, branches, sectors, and enterprises to create conditions for workers to have a favorable and safe working environment, have opportunities to study, improve their skills, and gradually form "new-age workers" - not only good at their job but also creative, proactive, flexible, and have a high sense of social responsibility.
