Trade Union organizes emulation to improve agricultural efficiency

According to the Vietnam Agricultural and Environment Trade Union, the scientific research block has many research topics, initiatives, and application of new science and technology to bring high socio-economic efficiency; thousands of research topics have been excellently accepted and awarded the Creative Labor Certificate by the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor.

Of which, the Vietnam Institute of Agricultural Sciences has 143 plant varieties recognized and announced for circulation, including: 26 rice varieties, 12 families of rooted trees, 10 families of peanuts and beans; 51 families of vegetables; 8 families of industrial crops and 37 families of fruit trees. In addition, many achievements in vegetable, flower and some plants with tubers, edible mushrooms and medicinal mushrooms have contributed significantly to the development of production.

According to estimates, the application of new crop varieties and the application of advanced farming methods have brought economic efficiency of approximately VND60,500 billion/year; of which crop varieties alone are about VND55,000 billion/year, contributing significantly to GDP growth in agriculture...

Another unit in the scientific research block is the Institute for Aquaculture Research I. From emulation movements, the Institute's staff and union members have implemented 85 topics and projects at the ministerial level. In the 2021-2025 period, the Institute focuses on research and production and business services in the fields of pig farming, salinity, and marine fish farming; cold-water fish farming; environmental monitoring and aquaculture in the Northern provinces...

During this period, the Institute also focuses on promoting production and business activities to supply high-quality breeding fish such as carp, giant catfish, American crab, oyster, fish of all kinds, catfish, yellow-tailed bird fish, salmon... and some commercial seafood products such as yellow-tailed bird, salmon, sturgeon... Currently, the Institute has 7 new aquatic species and 22 technology processes for producing and commercial farming of some other marine fish, cold-water fish and aquatic specialties that have been recognized. To achieve this result, one of the important factors is the practical emulation movement, which has been the motivation for each person to promote their intelligence, abilities...

In reality, when an emulation movement is built with specific criteria, in line with the reality of the unit, it will attract a large number of union members to participate. Thereby contributing intelligence and initiatives with highapplicability, bringing many benefits.
