43 workers compete in the HD Hyundai Vietnam 2025 Skilled Workers' Competition
Khanh Hoa - The Skilled Skilled Workers' Competition at HD Hyundai Vietnam Shipbuilding Co., Ltd. is an opportunity to recognize and honor the "golden hands" of the shipbuilding industry.
On September 19, the Trade Union coordinated with the Board of Directors of HD Hyundai Vietnam Shipbuilding Co., Ltd. (HVS) to organize the opening ceremony of the 8th HVS Skilled Skilled Skilled Skilled Skilled Ship Competition in 2025.
With the slogan "A place to shine the talents of workers, a place to honor the golden hands", the final round brings together 43 workers of the company and subcontractors directly working at the factory.
This year's contest attracted 86 workers to register to participate with 5 contents:ell welding, case safety, tube welding, tube safety and painting.
The new point is that candidates who have won prizes in previous editions are not allowed to participate, in order to create opportunities for new faces and ensure fairness.
After the qualifying round, 43 excellent contestants entered the final round with a higher level of challenge. Within 4 hours, each contestant will receive drawings from the organizing committee and perform technical operations to complete the most standard product.
Speaking at the opening ceremony, Mr. Kim Song Hag - General Director of the Company - emphasized that in the context of fierce global competition, innovation in technology and modern facilities is an important factor, but the professional skills of workers are the lever that determines competitiveness.
He believes that HD Hyundai Vietnam can reach beyond the territory, becoming a world-class shipyard thanks to superior technology and a team of skilled staff.
I hope today's contest will take place in a healthy competitive spirit, with all efforts, being fairly evaluated and becoming a successful event. This is also an opportunity for candidates to demonstrate their full potential that they have trained during their work" - Mr. Kim Song Hag said.
Held since 2016, the HVS Skilled Workers' Competition has contributed to affirming the skills of nearly 600 workers through the finals.
According to the Organizing Committee, the contest will award 15 prizes, including First, Second, and Third prizes for 5 contest contents. Each prize is worth from 2 to 5 million VND, along with a commemorative medal and a certificate of merit from the company.
In addition, the first prize winners will be rewarded with an additional 5-day, 4-night trip abroad; the second prize winners will receive a 3-day, 2-night domestic trip.
