The Golden Heart Social Charity Fund supports SGI Vina workers after the factory explosion

At noon on May 22, representatives of the Golden Heart Social and Cultural Fund in coordination with the Quang Nam Provincial Federation of Labor and the Trade Union of Economic Zones and Industrial Parks of the province directly visited and presented support money to 12 workers injured in the serious explosion at the SGI Vina Magnetic Magnetic Magnetic Magnetic Factory (Bac Chu Lai Industrial Park, Nui Thanh District).

At Quang Nam Central General Hospital and the workers' workplace, the delegation listened to the victims and their families share, and at the same time presented a total support of 36 million VND from the Golden Heart Social Support Fund. Of which: 4 workers with severe burns, critical conditions or injuries still being treated at the hospital were supported with 5 million VND/case; 8 workers with minor burns, who have been discharged from the hospital, were supported with 2 million VND/case.

On this occasion, the Quang Nam Provincial Federation of Labor also presented 24 million VND in additional support to workers in distress (2 million VND/case).

"The help at this time is a great source of encouragement for our workers. Not only money, but a warm heart in the midst of hardship Mr. Nguyen Van Hung, a worker being treated at Quang Nam Central General Hospital, emotionally shared.

At the visit, Mr. Ngo Van Tuyen - Chairman of the Trade Union of SGI Vina Company - affirmed: "The company's leadership has committed to paying all treatment costs for workers injured in the explosion. The Trade Union will also have long-term support policies to ensure the rights, safety and health of workers".

Mr. Tuyen also expressed his deep gratitude to the Trade Union organization and Lao Dong Newspaper for promptly supporting and encouraging the workers' spirit in the most difficult times.

The Golden Heart of Lao Dong Social Support Fund, established by Lao Dong Newspaper, is a bridge of love between the community and poor workers, those who have accidents, are unable to work or face occupational risks. Thousands of workers across the country have been supported by this charity fund.
