Born unwell, Duy's childhood was associated with separate meals and many long check-ups. Due to his medical characteristics, his eating habits are limited, his daily meals are mainly thin porridge, soft rice or lightly cooked food.

Duy's family is not eligible for social allowances, and the whole family depends on Mr. Dang's unstable income. At the age of over 50, working hard for many years and living a miserable life, Mr. Dang is no longer agile; However, whoever calls him, he does it, from being helpless, carrying... Ms. Thuc is currently in poor health, often sick, working around the house to earn more money to buy a bunch of vegetables and rice. From Mr. Dang's small and depraved income, his whole family basically covers all living expenses, study expenses, food, and medicine.

Ms. Thuc said that every time Duy was taken to the hospital for examination, the family had to worry about 4 million VND - an amount too large compared to their ability. "Many times I ran around borrowing money from everywhere to have enough money for my child to go to the doctor. For us, long-term treatment for children is always a constant worry. I know I have to go to the hospital, according to the doctor, but every time I go, the whole family takes on more burden. Many times I come to the doctor's visit without worrying about money, I just dare to buy medicine outside to give him a small drink...", the mother said choking up.

Despite their difficult family situation, Mr. Dang and Mrs. Thuc have never thought about letting their children drop out of school. For them, their children's education is the most important thing. "My children are disadvantaged by illness, if they are not able to study, they will suffer even more in the future. I was just worried that we would no longer be able to accompany our children..., Mr. Dang said sadly.

Understanding the family situation, Duy was very well-behaved and self-conscious. I try to eat and live according to the doctor's instructions to stay healthy. On tired days, eating is even more difficult, but I still try to go to class regularly. Going to school with Duy was a rare joy amidst many worries.

Talking to reporters, Mr. Nguyen Ba Son - Head of Thuong Thanh 2 village, Binh Minh commune, Hanoi City said that Nguyen Huu Duy's family background is one of the cases with particularly difficult circumstances in the locality. "Duy's family is not eligible for social allowances, while the cost of treating a frog's jaw defect each time is up to millions, beyond the family's ability," Mr. Son shared.

According to Mr. Nguyen Ba Son, the locality has regularly grasped the situation, encouraged and supported the family to the best of its ability. However, due to Duy's disability and long-term treatment and high costs, the current support only helps the family withstand the immediate situation. "We hope to receive attention, sharing and help from the community so that Duy has the opportunity to receive treatment according to the regimen, soon stabilize his health and continue studying," said Mr. Son.
