Lao Dong Newspaper readers support female workers in saving people in thunderstorms

On June 1st, the Golden Heart Charity Fund - Lao Dong Newspaper and the Nghia Lo Ward Trade Union (Lao Cai province) visited, encouraged and presented support money to Ms. Luong Thi Tinh - a female environmental worker, residing in Tong Phong residential group.

At the support handover ceremony, representatives of the Nghia Lo Ward Trade Union presented a total amount of 19.2 million VND to Ms. Tinh's family.

Of which, 16,500,660 VND was donated by readers through the Golden Heart Charity Fund - Lao Dong Newspaper; 2,700,000 VND was mobilized and donated by the Nghia Lo Ward Trade Union.

Previously, on the afternoon of March 29, during a sudden tornado in the area, Ms. Luong Thi Tinh rushed to rescue 2 students in danger. The brave action helped the children escape, but she herself was seriously injured and had to be treated for a long time.

After Lao Dong Newspaper published the article: LD26076: Female worker risks her life to save 2 students in a storm, currently in critical condition, Ms. Luong Thi Tinh's family has received much attention and sharing both materially and spiritually from readers nationwide.

After more than two months of treatment, Ms. Tinh's health has shown positive signs. Currently, she can sit up on her own and start walking again.
